AIS NASA Engine 2

This popular AIS engine has just been updated to version 2. Is has a nine pin serial port for connection to your PC. If you don't have a serial port available on your computer you can use a serial to USB adapter cable. All it requires is a 12V DC input and a VHF antenna. The engine is supplied with Sea Clear software that runs on Windows up to version XP. Any vessel displayed on the screen can be selected and its AIS data displayed - the engine also has in input for a GPS antenna. The engine can be used with plotters including some Raymarine C and E series and other PC software. An NMEA input at 38,400 baud is required.

Operating frequencies - 162.025 and 161.975 mHz.

Supply voltage - 10 to 16 volts DC.

Supply current - 43mA.

Messages relayed - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11 and 21.

Antenna input - 50 ohm BNC.

Data connector - 9 pin 'D' type.

Mounting - via two moulded flanges.

Dimensions - 115 x 100 x 30mm.

Output format - NMEA 2000 (38400 Baud)

VDM encapsulation string conforming to ITU-1371.
